Temporary car insurance - 1 month more expensive than 12? Joke!!!
So my brother, who's 19 with 3 points & 1yrs NCDs had a Polo which he replaced with a Golf TDI which was a jump of about 10 insurance groups. Why have train fares become so expensive?
For our wedding at the end of June, we booked up as early as we possible could. Prices were good from Lancs-Edinburgh. Standard was about £10, first class was about £20. Advanced saver i think it was called. Anyway, we're looking to go back at the beginning of Oct. The missus has looked at the 2nd week of Oct & she can't…

Licence
I understand if you pass a licence now, you have a probationary period where you can only acquire 6 points before you have to retest. I have a car licence that I have held for 20 odd years, if I pass a bike licence do I have a probationary period? If so I assume it only applies to the motorbike bit?

Keep old car, lease or buy new?
Hi, there seems to be pros and cons to how you run your car. Do you keep your old car with it's less economical engine and higher tax band? Or do you go for a new car with a "greener" engine, improved MPG and lowest tax band? If you go for new do you lease or buy? This whole area seems completely confusing, I've seen…

Cant decide?
Hello I can't decide between a 2007 new shape Mercedes C220 cdi se or a Mondeo. Driven both , mondeo drives better, more comfortable, quieter, and more economic. But Merc although smaller with a slightly jiggly ride in my opinion would prob be better long term? The Mercedes is from main dealer at £13k with around 50k on…

Someone (not the driver) phoned him today and told him that Ford had given her a price of £180 to fix it. She said she doesn't have the money so wants him to pay it, which he is willing to do, although still…

cheap car or something better?
I'm thinking I could do with a car again after not owning one for a year or so. Mainly for convenience for shopping, playing golf, going to friends houses, go to work when I can't get a lift etc. In the past I've always bought cheap cars between £300-600 and run them for a few years before selling for £2-300. So very…

Cancelling Extended Warranty on a Used Car Bought with Finance Agreement
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and when buying a used car yesterday I wish I had slowed down and read things more thoroughly.... Rail Company won't refund on Duplicate Season Ticket
Hi - I'm looking for some advice. I have an annual train season ticket. I lost the ticket earlier this year and got a duplicate.
