I am in the process of buying a used car (one year old 60 plate) from a main dealer. Do you think it would be wise to have an HPI check done, or would this be a waste of money?

girlfriend arrived late to speed awareness course due to crash on motorway
My girlfriend set off with plenty of time, leaving about 45 minutes leeway to get to her speed awareness course in Newport (about a 50 minute drive). There was a crash on the M4, and it took her 2 hours to get there. They held the course back for 20 minutes, because they were aware of the crash, but she arrived just a…

Buying a car - paying balance to another company - is this legal?

I am meant to be paying over £2000 later today by banker's transfer. I went to see the owner at the garage yesterday, to see how the minor repairs were getting on. He told me that as he…

Caravan scrap value
Does anyone know if an old caravan has any scrap value. Someone has left one on our land and said if we want it we can have it, otherwise they will pick it up in a couple of weeks. All the units have been removed but looks ok otherwise. I would be happy stripping it for bits and scrapping the carcass but don't know if…

Fuel pricing policy.
In discussion with an employee of a local independent petrol retailer this weekend. He advises that buying fuel from his employers garage is cheaper than from the supemarkets.
