Why is my car getting MORE to the gallon as it gets older?
Why is my car getting MORE to the gallon as it gets older? Bought Suzuki Grand Vitara 1.6 petrol, plus model in Dec. It tells you how much you are getting to the gallon. In Dec when new I was getting 27.4 MPG That has gone up slowly in 0.1 increments to 28.8 MPG 6 months on. Any ideas why?

I have been trying to book the same journey, the same way i always do for about a fortnight now and it isn't bringing up any funfare options. I want to travel from Southampton to London on the weekend of July 26/27. I've tried…

Bought a new car that's now been registered but haven't received it yet!
Hi all, I was just wondering what other, perhaps more knowledgeable people (well, in this area at least!!) thought of this: I ordered a new car around two months ago and have been messed around a little with the delivery date. In fact, I was told that the car would be with me on 31st May. I phoned the salesman (who doesn't…

Now I am looking…

Taxicard - subsidised door-to-door transport (Londoners only)
I know this has been mentioned before on these forums, however, I thought I’d give this a heads up for those who haven’t heard of it. What is Taxicard? Taxicard is a door-to-door transport service for Londoners with serious mobility impairments and to whom public transport is not usually accessible. Financed by the London…

In a few weeks I'm going by train for work training. I'm going to buy my tickets on the day of travel....so how do I find out the prices of those online? If I look them up it gives me the advance/cheaper options which I don't think are available on the day? Cheers

First Capital Connect
Last year, First Capital Connect put up their price of a Gold Card by 10% – at least, that's true of the route I use. How are they allowed to do then when it's so much about the rate of inflation? I'm dreading what they're going to do this year, as 10% upon 10% every year is quickly going to accumulate. And all this for a…
