Train from Newport to Gatwick 11th Aug £420 open return!!!
We thought we'd go by train to Gatwick, we need to travel there on the 11th Aug and back on 28th Aug. The fare for 2 adults, 1 child with a family railcard is £420 standard open return. A single to there on the 12th is coming up as £127. Is this likely to get any cheaper or should I give up and look at car parking.

However, we're about to have a very large addition to the family, in the form of a really big breed dog and we need the space in the boot,…

Briefly: Paid £179 for a service - whilst filing paperwork realised needed MOT. 3 days later MOT (at same garage) fails as brake discs and pads "unsafe". Moral question (and how much should two new tyres cost?)
I recently bought a 9 year old Mondeo for £460. The ad said it had "four good tyres", but in fact the two front tyres need replacing. So my moral quandry is this: should I ask the seller for a contribution to the cost of the new tyres? I don't think she was trying to cheat me; the tyres were nearly new, they just have a…

Alloy Wheel Problem
Has anyone ever heard of this problem. I took my car to tyre place and they have told me the reason my front drivers side tyre keeps going down is because when they remove the tyre from the wheel there is a build up of dust which is causing the wheel to go down. They cleaned this up for £30 and they fitted the same wheel…
