Just received my free tickets for the above event.

Does anyone know if the grandstands will be in use and if so will they be charging or will it be a free for all.

No info on the silverstone website

i got my tickets for this last week,i was looking for a bit more info aswell,the official site only really details last years event.
how much is car parking? im guessing things like this wont be free.

Car parking should well be free. They didn't charge for it at Donny in previous years, and normally at non-F1 meetings the parking is free at Silverstone (at least in my experience).

I've heard from someone that the grandstands should be open for the weekend, and I presume will be free (though this hasn't been 100% confirmed to me).

For those going, this http://www.barc.net/competitors/race_timetables/hq0816-01.php timetable may be of interest. It's only provisional at the moment (note the wrong date at the top ) but shouldn't change too much I wouldn't have thought. Also for anyone going wanting to get a taste of the WSR, they are in action at Monaco this weekend.

cheers for that peter,i thought it might have been the case that just the entry was free and they made money from everything else,but i guess this is what sponsorship is for!:T

I posted the same question on the freebie forum and a silverstone employee has been on and said that the grandstands are open and will be FREE....

The parking will be free and the grandstands likewise. If the weather is poor however watch out becuse you will find not all the covered grandstands will be open, simply because they don't put the seating in them until the grand prix weekend. Copse and the startline grandstands have covers and were open at the FIA GTs earlier this month (which was good because it was wet & very cold!!!)

Anyone have any info on how I can get to the event using public transport? I'm new to the UK so any help would be appreciated. Google isnt the most helpful either...
