Non-drivers insuring a car?
Hi, I know this is going to seem like a silly question but I just wondered if anyone knew the answer to this - Is it possible for someone who doesn't hold a driving license (not even a provisional) to insure a car that they own (and is registered to them)? many thanks cel x

SORN Fine
Aaaaaaagh! We've been doing really well at the money saving recently, and now out of the blue this. We traded a Renault Clio in at the end of May at a Renault dealer. The tax disc was due to run out a few days later. Today we received a £40 fine for not declaring it off-the-road, and a requirement to pay the tax due during…

Speed... I mean saftey camera fine!
I was caught out by a saftey camera. I was doing about 50-52mph when I first hit the lines then slowed to around 44mph by the time I was halfway through them, it was a 40mph zone. How long does it take for a fixed camera speeding fine to come through? Also I'm on a CBT licence which is a learners licence for a motorcycle.…

Which to choose: 4 reg. owners -vs- £300 insurance?
Hi, Here's a connundrum for all keen motorists. I've just bought a 56 plate Clio 1.5dci dynamique for a snip of a price. It has less than 4k on the clock, 2 prev. owners. I filled out the V5 when purchased, so it's in my name. However, as I already own & insure a 53 Espace, I'm struggling to find an insurance policy for a…

Clarkson cleared of Speeding - Hire cars?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/6982514.stm Apparently the case was "fatally flawed" as Alfa Romeo only had details of who the car was loaned to, not who the driver was. As a result, Clarkson did not name who was driving and the case was dropped in court. Just wondering how this would relate to hire cars where more than…
