Tyres
Is there anywhere online that I can buy tyres? Someone I know has the faciltiy to fit tyres and has offered to fit them for me if I supply the tyres, of course. Or I can nip into a 'tyre-shop' and buy them, but I don't know if these exist. Do you think these would be much cheaper than going into Kwik Fit/budget etc and…

Catalytic Converter
I just got my catalytic converter replaced on my car. My car seems 'nippier' since the replacement cc was fitted. My imagination? Surely something that regulates the emissions from the exhaust gases won't affect the power output?

Cheap cars to Insure
I'm 17 and male so I'm probably paying the most out of any other group to have my car insured. Can anyone advise on a small-ish car that would be relatively cheap for me to insure. I'm also considering doing "Pass Plus" as in my area money from speed camera fines is going to anyone who applies for Pass Plus before the…

Error on bus lane fine
I hold my hands up but I drove in a bus lane down Hackney road on 27th of December. We don't have them out here in the sticks so not used to the idea. The thing is the fine said the offence occured on 21st of December but the two little photos clearly show the 27th on them, besides on the 21st I was at work and couldn't…

Astra G which engine type?
Sister has a vauxhall astra on a 02 plate which i believe is the model G type. It is the 1.6 8v version. After driving it for a few days i don't mind getting one for myself. Thanks to the amount of traffic on the roads and the dreaded speed cameras i have decided to go for the 1.6 engine size. The 1.6 comes as 8v and 16v…

I am being reported for fraud by SETrains!
I went to buy a season ticket for Ryde Esplanade to Ryde St Johns Road today for £116 at Dartford station. This entitles me to a 34% off all off peak travel within the participating train companies areas (including southeasterntrains). When I was probed by the ticket office staff at the station they insisted that I could…

topping up oil?
How often does the oil need topped up in a car? We've had this car for almost 2 years - a 2L petrol Audi A4. Every couple of months the oil light comes on. I read the manual and it says that every 2000 miles the car will need topped up by about 500ml, which is what I do. We get the oil changed during its service and the…

Differences in two separate MOT Emission Tests
Hi :) I had an MOT about 3 weeks ago where my car failed due to corrosion on the sill so after getting it welded (which took longer for me to get arranged) the retest period was long gone, so I took it to a different place to get the MOT. It passed :D but I'm surprised by the deviation between the two emission tests - Here…
