After receiving a mortgage offer which is 'valid for' 4 months, what progress needs to be made on a house purchsase in order to meet the mortgage offer timescale? Do you just have to have an offer accepted, exchanged contracts or completed the purchase within those 4 months?

Land registry title after remortgage

Agreement in principle, 6 missed payments a year ago?
My broker has got me an AIP with a LTV of 72% even though I had 6 missed payments last year. I am a little surprised but they said that as they carried out a credit check all will be ok? Has anyone been in a similar situation and got their mortgage approved?
