Applying for Nationwide bank account + mortgage at the same time
I'm thinking of applying for a 70% LTV mortgage from Nationwide, but the best rate I can get is conditioned on having a current account with them (which I don't at the moment). Help to buy deposit
Can I use the Help to Buy equity loan scheme for a new build if I have 10% deposit, or is the equity loan part designed for people with less than 10% deposit? The HtB guide only mentions that you need at least 5% deposit, but not if there is a maximum deposit limit (in terms of % of house value). Many thanks.

Will a bank refuse a mortgage because they've already lent on that address?
It's a new house development, financial broker has told me I can't apply for a Halifax mortgage because they've already given too many mortgages at that development so they won't lend any more money on that area. He has told us a lot of lies so just trying to figure out if that's another lie or if it's true? Many thanks
