Landlord entitled to possession of shared ownership property on grounds of non-paymen
a little warning to people.. The facts In 1995 the claimant, Ms Richardson, acquired a 99 year shared ownership lease of a property from Midland Heart Limited and paid half its then market value. The lease required Ms Richardson to pay an annual rent subject to an annual increase determined by way of indexation. As is…

What happens now?
OH and I have been approved "in principle" for a mortgage with the Nottingham Building Society. We have sent bank statements, payslips, utilities bills, passports to our broker who will take copies and pass onto them. Unfortunately my usual broker was off sick yesterday, and the gentleman I was speaking to at L&C seemed a…

Re-mortgages for advers credit
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of any lenders that will offer re-mortgages to people with adverse credit. In 2004 I took out a debt management plan with the CCCS, and have been sticking to it ever since. I have never been bankrupt, never had an IVA and I do not have any mortgage arrears. I am currently employed in a…

Annual or Daily Interest?
Our current mortgage ends soon and I am going onto another fixed rate scheme for 2 years with our current provider. I'm just doing the paper work and there is a form in there for us to sign headed 'Transfer from Annual to Daily Interest Rate'. Is this a good thing? Not sure if to sign and send it back or not? I don't…

Mortgage or loan for new unemployed
A bit of a long one ....sorry My DH has now been made redundant. We have our house on the market, our plan is to sell and buy a place outright. At least that way my DH can take a job which suits him best rather than the bank manager!!! The thing i need to know is: If we needed to borrow further money for example 20 - 30k…

Mortgage or a CCA Regulated Loan - which one?
I took out a mortgage in 1989 for £180,000 with a High St bank.same day I was granted a further advance of £10,000 for ' home improvements' all documented separately from the mortgage. Should this have been a CCA regulated loan rather than being dumped (consolidated) into the mortgage? If so, can I ask for it back as it…

Reverse mortgages - any info?
I've tried searching 'reverse mortgage' and 'home equity release' amongst other terms, but can't find any thoughts on this from Martin Lewis. Does anybody know if he has commented and if so where? I'm (mid 60s) considering this path rather than loan/s but really need to hear some advice. Does anybody here have any…

Mortgage Question
Looking through my mortgage deal signed back in Feb 08 Im just wondering how moving house effects my mortgage. Mine is a 30 year 80K mortgage, 'interested only' although we are overpaying it which can be done at no extra cost. Ive phoned several times and Lloyds TSB confirm to me that I have flexibility to overpay it as a…

End of fixed rate - new variable LIBOR rate
I was hoping someone would be able to help me work out how much my new payments would be please. My 2 year fixed rate mortgage ends 31/08/2009 so in October it will change to, in their words '2.8% above LIBOR.......which is usually on the 14th March, June, September and December.' Does that mean it is linked to the 3 month…

Solicitor now told me that only I can go on land registry title

New builds
Are new build properties still as likely to sink in value as they were say, 12 months ago? I've been speaking to a developer and have eventually gotten them to take 20% off their price and I now have 20% of that available for a deposit. Does this sound typical? Are lenders likely to go along with this?
