Cashing in part of Endowment - possible?

Hi looking to pay off my mortgage early by cashing in my endowment early. Its due to finish in 2023.
The current value is £9000 so ideally I would like to withdraw all but one pound. i.e. keep it running. Additionally rather than pay 10 clusters into it pay just one. And just use this as a savings policy.
Am waiting for the Pru (its an old Scottish Pru policy) to get back to me to see if this is possible.
Does anyone know if it is please? Also any thoughts on this please?
Finally if its not possible would I get a better value from another company buying my fulll policy? If so are there any reputable companies out there?
Cheers

Thanks for this.
So with this in mind can anyone tell me if they have dealt with endowment surrender plus please? They seem to be a 'best price broker' for endowments. Are they any good?
Are there any other of this type of company i.e. ones who will do the leg work for me to a whole host of endowment companies rather than me go to them individually.
Cheers all0
