What happens now?

OH and I have been approved "in principle" for a mortgage with the Nottingham Building Society. We have sent bank statements, payslips, utilities bills, passports to our broker who will take copies and pass onto them.

Unfortunately my usual broker was off sick yesterday, and the gentleman I was speaking to at L&C seemed a little vague and distracted, so turning to you folk for some answers!

Does anyone know what happens now? Are they likely to come back with questions/demand for further information, or just proceed to evaluation? Has the credit check taken place yet? And how long till we know anything?

and lastly, what are the Nottingham like? Does anyone here have experience of them?

they will now do a credit check etc, can could well come back asking for more info. You should know within a week - 2 weeks

won't they have done the credit check already? Isn't that what the AIP is all about?
What further info might they request?

No the AIP means based on the LTV, the income and outgoings and everything else you have told them - in principle you can get the mortgage.

Now they have to check everything that was on the app, and do a credit check.
