Mobiles.co.uk refuse to honour offer on website
Hoping for some advice on this! A few days ago I ordered a phone (on contract) from mobiles.co.uk. It accepted the order and debited my card. I received an order acknowledgement and was advised the phone would be with me today. Today they have emailed me to say they can no longer honour the contract as the offer should…

PAC Transfer Question
Hi Everyone, I'm looking to transfer my current mobile number from O2 to Tesco Mobile. However, the O2 contract is in my mum's name and the new Tesco Mobile contract will be in my name. (The O2 contract was a hang over from uni days and we never got round to moving it to my name, although the direct debit is on my bank…

Competitively priced mobile calls to/from Mexico.
Competitively priced mobile calls to/from Mexico. My wife will be visiting Mexico in May for a few weeks and she would like a temporary mobile SIM card that can be used to make and receive calls/texts from Mexico to the UK and other mobiles worldwide. She doesn’t use data. Her phone isn’t locked to any network. Her current…

Having to transfer out to then transfer back in (PAC codes) via PAYG ?
Hi, I'm currently with Virgin Mobile and they won't allow me to change the tariff to a better deal I have found, but can take out a new sim. They say they cannot transfer my number over the new sim. I'm thinking of getting a PAC from them and transferring my existing number out to a PAYG sim and then transferring back to…

UK mobile operators pay close to £1.4bn for 5G spectrum
The UKs biggest mobile operators have smashed expectations by spending almost £1.4bn in the race to secure spectrum to launch next-generation 5G services. BT-owned EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three have paid close to double what many City analysts had expected Ofcoms auction to raise, as the mobile operators seek to open up a…

Plusnet, one account for every sim?
Just tried to get a couple of sims from Plusnet, one for my wife and one for me. They say that every sim has to be on it's own account? So for 2 sims we have to have 2 credit checks, 2 payment options... When every other network allows up to 4 sims on an account it seems a bit odd? Have I missed something?

No coverage from O2
I moved to a new home on the 18th of March and have been having a nightmare coverage from O2. Most of the time is 1 bar signal and the call disconnects randomly, people can't hear me, I can't hear people, our voices break up. I have to keep my phone or stand very close to the front window to get a txt or an attempting…

Buying a new, sealed mobile on ebay. Manufcturer's guarantee?
I have found a phone on ebay that I wish to buy. BUT the seller seems to be a private seller. I asked the vendor, " if this is a new item what guarantee is offered with it? Or are you reselling with a guarantee that is already partially used? Thanks" The seller responded, "its brand new. unused, so warranty starts after…

O2 to giffgaff.
I've never been through this process before so wondered if I could get some hand holding. I'm coming to the end of my contract with Carphone Warehouse very soon, but in order to save money I've been thinking of getting a sim only deal from giffgaff instead of upgrading. I'm happy with my phone, which is a Samsung S6. I'm…

free sim no money on phone?
I've got an old Vodafone mobile that I want to be able to receive calls and texts but never phone out. It presently has a Sainsbury sim that no longer works and I was wondering if there is any sim I could put in it and never have to put any money on it?

Mobile Phone Additional Charges
Hi I pay for my son's and my own mobile phone. Just been checking the statements as the bills have been coming in higher than expected. The last two have been double what they should be. He's got charges from 'other companies - UK' on the bill. Every Monday he's charged £3.45. There's also VAT on top. Called EE and they…

Nice to see nothings changed now Orange are EE...
I worked for a number of years at Orange and for 18 nothing in tech support. I had a number of issues with the level 2 and 3 guys having no clue about customer support. If the problem ran to 5 or 6 notes on the acc they'd read the first couple and suggest a fix, but if they'd read the first 1 or 2 they'd see that, that had…

Samsung Note 8 or S9+
Hi all, I am due an upgrade and am soon to go off on holiday. So thought it would be a good opportunity to upgrade that snapper on the back of my phone. I've currently got an S7 Edge, and am keen to stay with Samsung as I have a Samsung Gear sport watch. I like the note 8 because of the SPen, but the S9 is that bit newer…
