Having to transfer out to then transfer back in (PAC codes) via PAYG ?
Hi,
I'm currently with Virgin Mobile and they won't allow me to change the tariff to a better deal I have found, but can take out a new sim.
They say they cannot transfer my number over the new sim.
I'm thinking of getting a PAC from them and transferring my existing number out to a PAYG sim and then transferring back to the new sim.
I assume this will work OK. Does anyone know of any PAYG sims that don't need topping up in order to do what I require ?
Thanks

Asda, on line, or 50p in store. Comes with limited free texts, calls, valid for 30 days under new rulesWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0

I need to do this! I already have my PAC from EE. How do you actually go about porting in and out? Are they quick?0

Yes, usually next working day, two days at most.
Just give your PAC to the new provider (assuming it's within the 30 day limit). No free lunch, and no free laptop

Just a word of warning for anyone trying this trick... Asda mobile runs on EE. I discovered this when my SIM card arrived today. So if you, like me, are trying to find a bridge to switch from EE to EE, this is not the right solution.0
