PAC Transfer Question

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to transfer my current mobile number from O2 to Tesco Mobile.
However, the O2 contract is in my mum's name and the new Tesco Mobile contract will be in my name. (The O2 contract was a hang over from uni days and we never got round to moving it to my name, although the direct debit is on my bank account)

Can I use the PAC code to transfer the number to my Tesco Mobile account, or will I have to do a Change of Ownership with O2 first to move that number to my name? If I have to do Change of Ownership first, do I then have to wait a certain amount of time to use the PAC code.

(I've tried asking O2 customer services but they have been useless and I'm at the end of my patience with them for today!)
