Apple Iphone and Ipod touch
Sorry if this isn't exactly the right place for this. My daughter has been asking for an I phone for long enough now and I have always said no because they cost so much money and I don't think she is old enough for the responsibility of a contract phone. So she has instead asked for an I pod touch this year. I have looked…

Missed calls no caller id on Orange personal PAYG phone
I have an Orange PAYG phone that I use only for family and close friends. However just lately I have been getting missed call alerts with no caller id, usually early morning or early evening. There are no messages left and when I dial Orange answerphone it says there are no outstanding calls and so I cannot delete it. Yet…

Lost my job and now on benefits. Can I exit my contract?
I signed up for Three, 2 year deal, about £40 a month. The only reason I went for Three was because of the unlimited fast internet. Where I worked, there was a mobile mast behind the building. I got fast speeds and because I did night shifts, the internet really helped. I have recently been dismissed and I am now on…

O2 Upgrade
Looking at the charges for an upgrade on the O2 site makes me laugh, they must think that their customers (us) have sub zero IQ. Look at this for the new LG Nexus 5, irrespective of the fact that they are trying to charge £480/£530 for a phone that costs £330 from Google. They are actually charging less for the phone if…

Orang/ EE Top-Up problem: Too Many Digits
Hi all, haven't been on this board before - thought as I'm on MSE I'd ask my Q here first just in case someone has the answer. A £5 Top-Up was bought for Orange/ EE PAYG (the phone has an Orange SIM, but the screen displays the EE logo). The EE site says enter your 12 digit PIN, but the TO voucher has 16 digits - no sign…

Nexus 5 cheaper on contract or buy outright?
Sorry to start a new thread, but I don't want to review the phone or talk necessarily about a specific offer (although I've used phones4u as an example!) Currently I have a talkmobile £5 per month SIM only with 100 mins, 100 sms, 100 MB. So the Nexus 5 costs £299 + £9.99 delivery = £308.99 outright from Google Play. I am…

Motorola RAZR i on Ebay
Hi All, I've been looking for a new Android phone and just came across what looks like a pretty good deal and by far the cheapest I could find this model. The orange-directuk outlet is currently selling the Motorola Razr i for £159.99 including £10 credit - this looks better than the previous deal on Pay As You Go from 3…

Before You Buy - Coverage Blackspots
Just thought I would post a map the Guardian have managed to build displaying coverage black-spots users have reported to them with particular networks. It makes a good read if you are thinking of jumping ship. http://www.theguardian.com/money/datablog/interactive/2013/oct/29/uk-mobile-phone-coverage-interactive-map-signal

How do I know if my car radio is Bluetooth enabled?
My car radio/CD has a button with a picture of a phone on it. When I press it, the radio/CD that is playing, is muted. There's also, what appears to be a microphone, at the top of the windscreen. Does this mean my car radio/CD player is Bluetooth enabled?

Galaxy S4 and free tab 3 10.1 or note 10.1?
Hi all, I can now upgrade for free as I have entered the last month of my O2 contract. Ideally I would like a Samsung Galaxy S4 handset with a free tab 3 10.1 or note 10.1. I have searched around and can't find this exact deal. Does anyone have any ideas?

Cheap monthly contract that allows tethering?
Hi, I have been on the one plan with 3 for 24 months which allows me to use the personal hotspot on my iPhone which I find quite handy - although I don't use it that frequently. Now my contract is coming to an end, and as my iPhone 4S is still work I want to keep using it and get a cheaper contract. I'm looking for a…

Ridiculous fee for fixing mobile with Vodafone, advice very welcome
Several ago I took out a new contract through Vodafone, with which I chose a Samsung Galaxy Ace. I had to have it repaired 3 times for the same problem: It kept thinking it was charging when nothing was plugged into it, then not recognising the charger when it was. The third time around they gave me a replacement phone. By…

Nexus Buyer Beware!
I know this is not strictly a mobile phone but it is being offered by Three so I thought I would stick the warning in this bit ( apologies if I have the wrong place - Newbie!) I just wanted to warn any potential Tablet Contract customers that the Three offer for the Nexus 7 tablet is misleading/unclear on their website.…
