Contesting a cafcass report
If someone contests a cafcass report at a directions hearing, what happens? Do they order cafcass recommendations until final hearing? Keep things as they are until final hearing? Hoping someone may have experienced this.

Everything is in the mans name, house, savings, investments, etc. There are three children involved, 5,11,&12. My friend has not worked as she has been looking after her ex partners father full time, before he…

Anyone know when Kiddicare Nottingham opens?
Asking on the off-chance someone does - was over by the store the other day and they've taken all the big banners on the front recruiting for staff off but there's no indications of much progress being made as of yet. Would be nice to avoid a big trip down to their existing store to play with (eww - yes I'm hating the…

Would you let an 8yr old have a PAYG Phone?
Hi I'm sure this subject has been discussed many times before and is potentially explosive! and for that I apologise but I would really like some other peoples opinions, my friends/family think I'm being a bit harsh and in this day and age she is probably one of the oldest not to get a phone yet. My daughter who will be 8…

When you've lived too long...
should depression be regarded as a normal response to a bad situation, treated with medication, both of the previous options, or are there any other possibilities? TBH I'm not really looking for answers, more trying to sort out my thoughts. Elderly relative, blind, not mobile, incontinent, living in an inadequate nursing…

Back to the ex - can it work?
To cut a very long story short, I went to a gig last night and met my (kind-of) ex of 4 years ago. The old electricity was still there between us and we talked till the end of the night, then went back to his and sat up all night talking and talking some more, no monkey business, and went to sleep cuddled up to each other,…

A question.
Not sure if I have posted in the right thread or not. If not please feel free to move it. Okay, so I need some advice on something that is troubling me, well, a few people I know really. Basically we know someone who, because of a criminal record, is NOT allowed to work with children, or vulnerable adults. However, we have…

Would you take a 3-year-old to see a 3D film?
I'm thinking of taking my 3-year-old to the cinema for the first time in a few days and I was wondering about going to see Brave 3D. I think if the film was entertaining enough she'd sit through the whole thing, but I'm not sure how well she'd get on with the 3D glasses (or if it's even safe for a child of that age). Has…

What would be reasonable?
I went to get my hair cut on Friday (same haridresser I have had for approx 18 months) and I am not happy with the result. For the past year or so I had been attempting to grow out a short style but then decided enough was enough and so decided to go short again, but short and feminine, not short and butch like:) The time…
