Loan help
This might sound a bit odd, but I need to lend 5 grand, however if I lend 7.5 grand I can get lower interest rate, this seems too simple so probably a stupid question but could I lend that and pay 2.5k back straight away? And be on a lower interest rate for the remaining 5k?

Marsh finance... not a clue!
In 2012 I brought a car with finance from Marsh finance. In 2012 I lost my job resulting in me failing to make payments and the car was repossessed. How long should I give the bank before taking other action?
Bit of a long story, sorry. I took out a joint loan with my ex-husband. It was in joint names, but I was the one paying for it, as it was used for something I needed at the time. I paid off a fair amount of it. Then we got divorced. He wanted me to take over the loan and have it just in my name. I phoned the bank…

Is borrowing for house renovation a good idea?
Hi All, I was wondering if it will be cheaper doing some renovation on loan now vs saving up and do in future (original plan was to do 1.5 years from now). Expected spend is going to be around £5000. Any pointers on whether this is good or bad idea will be helpful. Cheers T

Debt Consolidation
Hello everyone, I have read an awful lot of negative comments towards the idea of taking out a loan in order to consolidate debt. For the most part it makes sense to me, if you borrow money at a lower interest rate, you will still probably pay more as the term likely wouldn't justify the reduction in interest. In my mind…
