Not able to contact Student Loan Company-they have closed phone lines for loan repayers due to Covid

I am trying to contact the student loan company regarding repayments and the website says they have closed their phone lines for loan holders who are repaying.  They are saying this is due to Coronavirus. This was understandable in April and May, but it seems remiss that they haven't adapted to provide continuity of service, and we are now in the fourth month of working from home.  They direct you to contact them via direct message on twitter and facebook instead, but there is no acknowledgement when you do, and no information about when you may be able to correspond with someone.  Is this acceptable for a financial service provider to be effectively unavailable in this way?

The SLC isn’t a typical finance company so are not bound by the same rules as normal loan providers.

Anyway... a quick google of their site says that their phone lines have been reopened as of the 29th May, but obviously very busy.

What exactly is so urgent about your issue?

This is the long established communication method called the postal system............
