Hi all,

I would appreciate some advice as I have received a letter today completely out of the blue. It states it is from PRA Group ad that I owe £8435.86 to them which was initially owed to Northern Rock (asset management). They have provided an account number.
I had a mortgage with Northrn Rock in 2003 and a loan with them in 2004, I believe this was for somewhere int he region of £7000 as I remmeber buying a car. The house was then sold in 2006. An IVA was started in 2007 jointly with my then partner but failed in about 2009. I do not have any of the old paperwork and cannot find any email correspondence.I paid some debs directly and believed that the matter had been resolved as my ex partner also paid a settlement figure for her part of the IVA.
I contacted PRA they asked if I had a previous address with the number 21, I said no as I couldn't think of one. I have checked since and I did reside an address with number 21 in 2007 for a few months.
They simply said we must have the wrong person and that I wouldn't hear from them again, I am concerned as I don't want to leave it there I want to resolve the matter. ANy advice on where I should go from here?

Thanks
