The house was originally paid off when my dad died in 2002. Anyway I have recently tried to change the mortgage and by doing so have found out that my mum has…

Cost of an IVA
Good Evening, Having heard that I'm going for a DRO my sister looked into doing it too but her car is worth over £1000. So she's now looking at an IVA after speaking to a company. They have said they will charge her £295. Is this correct? Many thanks.

Empliyers still deducting attachment of earnings despite DRO
My husband had a DRO approved on the 20th dec 2011. However he is still being deducted money each week from his wages for an attachment that was set up in Nov 10 from a CCJ. Dro or dmp?
CCCS said these were my 2 options, I picked DMP at the moment while I receive contribution based JSA but after that if I haven't found a job a DRO will be my only option. My question is bankruptcy has a stigma attached to it, its publish in the local papers etc, is the same true with a DRO? Or should I even forget about…

Completion Delay Due to VAT
I made my final payment on my IVA back in August, I had heard that there could be long delays in completion due to IP's having to chase creditors so was not too worried. However having spoken to my IP I am now told that the delay is due to them having to reclaim back VAT (I assume on their fees). As far as I can tell I…

Do I have to use the closest intermediary for a DRO?
I live in a fairly small town where the walls have ears so I'd rather arrange a DRO elsewhere, with an intermediary in another town. Can I do that? I know a DRO is officially a public matter, but if nobody I know hears about it they will never look it up. Dave

Should minimum payments be included in my budget?
Maybe a dumb question, but I can't find the answer. To get a DRO, I should have less than £50 disposable income every month after living expenses. But should I include minimum payments on my debts as a basic living expense? If the minimum payments should be included, once I stop paying them I'll have more disposable…
