DRO submitted, no word yet
Options
Hi all,
So on Thursday afternoon I dropped my signed form back into the CAB and then paid my £90 at the post office. Since then I have had no word and am not showing on the Insolvency Register and am now starting to worry.
So what im wondering is if really the form that I submitted then has to be sent from the CAB to the Insolvency service and then it is processed or if it is all done online and now the only outcome is that it must have been declined?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as im now starting to worry.

Far too soon to worry!
Even if your intermediary submitted the application on Thursday (did he/she?) they would not hear till Monday and you would not be contacted by the DRO unit till a few days after that. Unless you have an arrangement with the intermediary that they will phone you, you are right to assume that your earliest indication of success will be through an insolvency search online.0 -
Going on the fact that you returned the form to cab I would say the earliest you would appear on the register is Monday as said above!
I paid the £90 on a Thursday, but I sent the form to the dro unit myself there and then by recorded guarantee next day delivery and my name appeared on the Saturday, but I only think this was because I sent it guaranteed next day!
I would also hope that your intermediary wouldn't have sent the application If she/he thought it would be declined as she/he would know your circumstances and how losing £90 for an application that would fail would be a bad thing for you!

The submission page that you sign and send to Plymouth does not affect the DRO acceptance. If the DRO unit don't receive one for an accepted DRO, they'll eventually chase it. The intermediary shouldn't be generating one for you to sign unless it has the actual date of submission.
So maybe this was submitted earlier last week but the £90 was not paid at that point. That would cause a delay as the DRO unit have repeatedly said that they want the payment to be made on the day of submission at the latest.Intermediaries are advised that as per page 52 of the Intermediary Guidance Notes (version 8.0) the debtor should pay the application fee in full on the day the application is submitted or sooner, so as to avoid the risk of the application being cancelled.
It'll probably be accepted on Monday still, though. Unless there was a ten-day gap between submission and payment0 -
Ahhh, ok thanks for all the replies, seems to have settled me down a little. The Intermediary asked me to let him know as soon as the payment had been made so im assuming it was being submitted that day. Although come to think of it the date on the forms was back in December, but this was the date of our last meeting, so Im assuming he wouldn't have submitted back then knowing that the payment was going to be made until this week, and the fact he only sent the forms out to me to sign on Tuesday morning.
Well roll on tomorrow and we will see where I stand. Im hoping for once I am going to be a little more enthusiastic about a Monday morning.0 -
Did you get accepted? I'm applying for a DRO in March and I'm yet to find somebody that hasn't!0
