Help to buy and (nationwide) save to buy ISAs
I don't think I'm eligible for one of the new help to buy ISAs? I haven't owned for some while, but did own a shared ownership home in the past. This rules me out? In terms of other savings, I have a Nationwide Save to Buy ISA, with a standing order to pay in £50 per month (next payment going in during May). It pays a…

NS&I Indexed linked Savings
Hi, I have received my annual certificate. I invested £20,051.79 on 27th March and balance is now £20324.19 i.e. +272.40 or 1.358%. Would you suggest that I should cash this in and transfer to my Nationwide Flex Direct and Santander 123 accounts?

Help me understand HSBC Loyalty ISA rates
I have an HSBC Loyalty cash Isa , the rate is 1.40% AER (1.39% tax free) The thing I don’t understand is why some months I get less than others in interest. for instance last September I got £28 paid in interest, the following month October I got only £22 ... In February £24, in March £21... I don’t take any money out why…

Coventry BS cash ISA transfers
My wife has a Regular Saver isa (originally opened with Stroud & Swindon) with Coventry BS into which we have saved the anual allowance each year very happily. The Isa has a historical bonus that is very good by current rates (amounting to an effective rate of 3.75% [1%+2.75%]) so we are keen to keep the account. EOY 13/14…

Nationwide Cash ISA Autumn 2015
Hi, I'm currently in a Cash ISA with Nationwide with a not-so amazing 1.15% interest. This rate is extended to Autumn 2015 so I effectively get a year and six months interest instead of a year. Trouble is, I would like to get a better rate, but I'm worried that I cannot apply for another ISA until 2015 or 2016 if I am…

Post Office Online ISA pulled
Just noticed that the online ISA at the Post Office website is no longer available. There's a statement that a new product will be introduced from tomorrow.

Good (new tax year) morning I wish to open a new FR ISA. In doing so can I make deposits into an existing flexible ISA from another provider up to max annual total allowance?

Halifax Junior Cash ISA
My two children both have cash child trust funds. I want to move them to a junior ISA and was looking at the Halifax. I see the rate paid is more if I have a cash ISA with the Halifax. From what I have read I could open a cash ISA with £1 and then the kids will get 4% rather than 3%. Seems too easy..... have I missed…

Nationwide ISA Instant Saver- Can't deposit- help
Does anybody know the deadline to deposit into Nationwide Instant Saver ISA? I am trying to deposit £3k which will take me to £15k but it tells me there's an error so the request couldn't be processed. I have tested moving the money between flex accounts and it does this without issue. I am thinking that the error message…

How/when can I safely transfer my ISA?
Hey everyone, I've done some research around ISAs and what's available but I've got a little bit confused, I was wondering if someone could put me in the right direction? I'm a 20 y/o uni student and I opened my first ever ISA 22 April 2013. It's an ISA Saver online with Halifax, it had a decent interest rate at the time.…

A little confused what to do....halifax
I opened a 14/15 variable saver isa with the Halifax in July and it's currently 1.45%. I've spoken to the Halifax and this rate will drop to 1% in July but then I can fix or swop to another deal then. I'm stuck as what to do, do I transfer the £1600 I have into a new isa tomorrow (15/16) or continue paying into the halifax…

ISA Confusion
Hi, I'm a little confused with my Halifax ISA. I was under the impression that I could pay money into my ISA up until today (5th April), and then the interest would be calculated on that. I've just transferred some money to my ISA, and noticed that interest was credited on 2nd April. Does this mean that I won't get the…

ISA investment general strategy
Now that you can freely transfer ISA funds from cash to S&S and back again, is there a reason to stick with cash? Consider, you have your ISA pot invested in S&S, and if you follow the market and see a decline, pull out the lot and throw it into a Cash ISA. Then when things look better, reinvest. I realise that cash ISAs…

Help to Buy & Cash ISA Transfer
Hello, I understand that I can't open a new cash ISA and a help to buy ISA in the same tax year. Would this preclude me from transferring a pre-existing cash ISA (so, not introducing any 'new' money) and opening a help to buy ISA in the same year? Thanks, Kirstie

ISA and Help to Buy Query
Hi, I'm interested in investing in the help to buy ISA in autumn and I'm aware this means I shouldn't open another ISA in the same year. I currently have a Cash and Shares ISA with Hargreaves and I'm unsure what I need to do with this, or what I'm best doing with this. -should I remove the cash from this ISA now, before 6…

Paid into 2 cash ISAs by mistake
I've got a Nationwide Flexclusive ISA issue 4 and have paid £4690 into it in the current tax year. It had a balance of £8650 and I opened a Nationwide Flexclusive ISA issue 8 and transferred the whole amount over a couple of days ago. The ISA doesn't accept transfers in so I did it as a transfer between accounts, in the…

S&S ISA - allowance question
Evening all, Quick S&S ISA question with regards to buying units - if I transfer cash into my S&S ISA holding account today (i.e. within 2014/15's window) and then place an 'order' for purchasing units on the same day but, given the time it takes to process the transaction, the instruction doesn't 'execute' until next…
