Nationwide ISA Instant Saver- Can't deposit- help

Does anybody know the deadline to deposit into Nationwide Instant Saver ISA?

I am trying to deposit £3k which will take me to £15k but it tells me there's an error so the request couldn't be processed.

I have tested moving the money between flex accounts and it does this without issue. I am thinking that the error message might be coming up if I've missed the deadline date to deposit. I cannot find the deadline date anywhere on the website.

If I have missed the deadline, can somebody recommend another ISA I can put the 3k in to? I've got Santander and Halifax accounts so those providers would be prefered as I imagine it'll be easier to open ISAs with them being that Im an existing customer.

You cannot deposit into more than one cash ISA in the same tax year. Call Nationwide and ask them about your problem. An instant ISA doesn't have a tax year deadline.

are you sure about this? Its still a NISA so surely its not exempt from legal limit of £15k per year?

Nationwide lines wont be open either will they? Its not just a Sunday, its Easter Sunday. Double whammy for them to justify being closed.

Transfers out also seem affected as I'm getting the error message "Error: Your money has not been transferred. We are unable to process this request at present. Please try again later." when I try to transfer out from my Nationwide Instant ISA Saver 2 to my Nationwide Flexplus account. Perhaps they have a problem with their server or a cut-off date/time for transactions due to ISA year end!

I was talking about a date, not about an amount.

Did you actually try calling Nationwide? They are open 24 hours, 7 days a week, and they have a special ISA option on their contact number today.

    ok thanks I'll try calling.

I know you were talking about a date... but if there was no deadline date, then we'd all be able to keep adding to the NISA for years and years, thus eventually exceeding the £15k limit. No date = no restriction to keep depositing, is what I'm saying. And surely that can't be right.

You appear to not have understood the ISA limits. You can do that, the £15k limit isn't a one off total to eventually exceed, it is the amount you can pay in per year, there are people with ISAs with over £100,000 in them.

If you pay in after 5th April it will be part of next tax year's allowance

For £3k why are you even bothering with an ISA when you can get 5% with the Nationwide & TSB current accounts?
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

I think the issue is that the Nationwide website won't let him transfer in at the moment. It also won't let me transfer out with the same error message. Bad timing I guess, but it looks like ISA transfer in/out on the website may not be working at the moment. Any one else had problems?

??? I do understand NISA yearly limits! hahaha this is a strange strange forum. Take it as a given that we all know to Deposit £15k per financial year. Dont bother teaching this grandmother how to suck easter eggs.

The financial year ends today. So I should be able to fill my NISA allowance for this financial year today. I dont know why Im getting odd responses that theres never a deadline to deposit into a NISA, when there clearly is.

My question, I dont know how to put it much simpler... is did Nationwide set a cut off point to deposit funds in to a NISA. And if they did, are there any other banks that will take my money.

bingo. Thanks for trying at your end too. The Nationwide website is probably getting battered with last minute depositers.
