House insance - open windows.
If I go out in the summer and accidently leave a window open, will my contents insurance pay out? I ask because I have always had an anti insurance attitude and I'm trying to justify to myself have contents insurance. This is the only way I can see myself claiming except for 'thousands to one' situations. Regards X
Car insurance and double yellow lines
If person A is parked on a double yellow line with the engine running and someone in the passenger seat, and person B reverses (i.e. knew the car was there and wasn't coming round a blind corner for example) into the car, can person B's insurance refuse to pay up because A was on double yellows?
Health Questions for life insurance
I am looking to take out term life insurance for myself (50) and husband (54) to run for 13 years until our youngest is 22. Trouble is that although both of us are pretty healthy the initial quotes bear no resemblance to the final one after we have answered a mountain of health questions. Any health issues we have are not…

Buildings / Contents insurance
Hope someone can help. I've had a quote from a local roofer of £500 to put it all right, but this morning part of our…

Death, Estates and creditors...
Hi, first post so be gentle please, apologies if not in the right section! Ok, a relation has died recently with over £100k in debts to various card companies, finance houses, store cards and banks - nearly 30 in total. They say you can't take it with you and he obviously borrowed heavily on the old adage!!! He had no…
Insuring 2nd car while trying to sell
I recently changed cars (Passat to Micra - bit of a change of scale) and swapped my insurance from the old car to the new car. I then took out (the maximum) 4wks cover with my existing insurer to cover the old car while I tried to sell it, only problem was I got sent away on business for 2 wks. Things are going pretty…
