Harveys Furniture stated on the website (and by the sales rep in store) that they will be able to deliver mid…

For some reason my cat who has a litter tray & access to outside has twice decided to pee on my relatively new woolen rug. The first time I quickly tried to sponge it off & wash the area with a solution of Stardrops &…

Open a new company for self build home?
Hello all, We are looking to do a self build. We note that a lot of suppliers do not deal with customers directly. Do people actually start a company just so you have a 'company' and use it to buy materials etc.? For example, Benchmarx only deals with traders/companies, so we can't even make an appointment to see their…

Replacing flush washer - Twyford cistern
I've a Twyford Galerie close coupled cistern that has a small leak into the pan. The valve is OK and shuts off, but I suspect the flush washer has some dirt on it giving rise to the small leak. Having taken the top off it's not clear how to remove the flush assembly - and I can't find any diagrams online. Anyone any ideas?

Suggestions for good Knife/Knives Set
Really want a decent knife set and it's a bit of a minefield. Ours are cheap supermarket ones and go blunt very easily. Parents have got a set of Global ones but far too pricey for me sadly. Any ideas of a decent set. About £50 but would go to £100 for the rights set that would last me well. Friend suggested Sabatier…

Toilet flush parts - where to purchase??
Hi all, I have what a think is called "a flexi mount" dual flush on my toilet. There's a dual button on top, then inside the cistern lid a little white box attached to the cable, with the cable attached to flush valve itself. I've managed to break the little white box which is responsible for pulling the cable.…

Double glazing - is this right?
Hi folks, would appreciate some advice about the double glazed windows fitted to our newly built extension. Residential security camera system (Poe?)
I'm in the market for a residential security camera system. I have begun researching the different options and have decided that a wired system using power over ethernet is probably best.
