Slanted windows?
I have noticed that the 2 bathroom windows appear to be slanted and the bottom of the window is lower on the left than the right. This wall is the back wall of the house. But to look at the windows, they look like they are lower on the bottom left than the rest. We have noticed a few architraves upstairs are slanted too,…

Sandblasting iron fireplace
I don't know how much mess is created when sandblasting an iron fireplace. Does an iron fireplace need to be removed before it can be sandblasted, or can it be sandblasted when in situ? Or does sandblasting create a lot of mess and therefore best to have the fireplace removed first? Thanks

Karcher advice
Does anyone use a Karcher pressure cleaner for removing mould from the shower cubicle? We have a shower cubicle but it has really small spaces where even the smallest toothbrush won't get to. West Yorkshire Windows
Hi Just wondering if anyone has had any recent experience (good or bad) of West Yorkshire Windows. However have had a look online and have seen a couple of unfavourable reviews…

Can Someone Help Me Identify this Laminate Flooring?
Hi I need to get my hall laminate flooring replaced (insurance job.) The insurance company have asked me to select the materials for the repair job. Ideas for driveway colours (block paving).
Hi, Interested in thoughts on this issue. Most block paving I have seen is red/brown ish in colour. There seems to be more in the way of greys as well ranging from dark grey to light silvery. The grey palate seems to be more contemporary and fashionable at the moment. Any thoughts on longevity of the look? Also how do the…

Party walls and lying landlords - what's my rights?
I signed an AST only 3 weeks ago. At viewing I asked re work next door and told it was almost done and wouldn't affect me. First the landlord wanted to "inspect the curtains" and have her agent inspect the same separately - only a few hours after taking keys. I thought that was suspect. After paying for a hotel and…
