Getting dishwasher drawer back on runners?!
Despite my puny arm muscles, I've somehow managed to pull my upper dishwasher drawer completely out of my diswasher, along with one of the runners.:T I can't for the life of me get it back in. I can see that if I could take the back retainer off the runner then I could slide everything back in on their various tracks but…

Range cooker
I am redoing my kitchen, and DH has set his heart on a range cooker and we are struggling to find one that suits our needs. I would like a ceramic top, ideally 100cm but it looks that 90cm tends to be the average for a ceramic. We want 2 ovens, ideally 2 different sizes, but one needs to be as big as possible (65 litres…

Washbasins and cabinets - can we mix?
I've seen a nice bathroom washbasin by Dansani. It's one of those 'sit on top of a cabinet' styles. Unfortunately, I don't like the matching Dansani cabinet. Do you have to go with the same manufacturer? I mean, if the basin justs sits on top, any reputable should do, or am I missing something?

How to get rid of moss/lichen on roof?
We have a shallow pitched roof. The tiles are a sort of clay (I think). In good weather, there is a goodly crop of green mossy lichen-type stuff which grows there. Not a problem when it's like that, BUT when it rains hard the lichen is washed off and down into the rainwater guttering. These block really fast and then we…

Is it allowed to convert a a garage to a bathroom/bedroom? Do I need an Architect and do I need planning permission? I have an old detached garage about 3 feet away from my kitchen full of junk.
