Anyone one here own or use a telescopic ladder. I'm thinking of buying one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/ALUMINIUM-MULTI-PURPOSE-3-8M-TELESCOPIC-EXTENDALE-LADDER-Extension-Steps/261355550559?hlpht=true&ops=true&viphx=1&_trksid=p5197.c100068.m2280&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140205155511%26meid%3D5e26ac87e7a94a068ca99e797f1fc632%26pid%3D100068%26prg%3D20140205155511%26rkt%3D6%26clkid%3D1199019250052242630&_qi=RTM1793643.
As long as the ladder conforms to BS standards and you are below the 150kg limit. Are there any benefits if buying one for double or treble the price for home use?

ive used one found it too flimsy if you are only going to use it a couple of times a year buy one if not and you have space to store a proper one get that instead.
Also the one I used I nearly squashed my fingers, whilst collapsing it down you release the tabs on the bottom rungs and if you don't hold it the rest of the ladder it comes slamming down.0 -
How flimsy was it? At 3.8 metres I'm only really going loft height.0

The one I used was 3.8m I think but I had it fully extended when I was using it.
It was flimsy enough that I could not wait to get off it. I`m only about 12 1/2 stone but when I was going up it it bends a lot more the a normal ladder.0 -

Any idea when of the make?
I saw 12 1/2 stone once and double I'll see it again.0 -
Not sure of the make I think it came in a red box which got binned but the ladder is at work so I will have a look and see if it has a name on it.0

We bought one to access our loft. As it folded down, it meant we could keep it in our built in wardrobe in our top floor bedroom in our townhouse. THe alternative was the step ladder stored in our bedroom on show, or carrying it up and down 3 flights each time we wanted to get in the loft.
12 stone, didn't find it flimsy at all. Very sturdy and confident when using it. Finger trapping could be easily done though.
Bought it from Lidl a few years back for £60. I'd recommend it if it's small size when not in use makes your life a lot easier.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
