Land dispute with neighbour
My mum's best friend (I'm going to call her T) sold her house last year. When she was selling up, her neighbour had mentioned about having her steps re-done. That was it. A week before T moved, her neighbour was having her steps re-done. However, a while after the new owner had moved in, the neighbour had a wall that…

Brick Tint - how to colour bricks?
Hi, We have some bricks which had frost damage. We have cemented (mortar) over them, filling the mortar joints and the face of the damaged bricks. Laminate edging???
Hi, I know that on a normal straight edge you'd either use an edging strip or hide in under the skirting board (if that's possible) but what do you do when it comes to a door way and the architrave? Do you just leave the edge open and bare or is there some way of covering up that too? Thanks.

Neighbour refuses us access to build our dream office
Dear All, The background to my question is I had a dead tree in my stepdaughter garden and I arrange to remove it due to the danger of it falling on the neighbours gardens and the safety of children playing. Quote for eradicating damp on walls. Big task? Does it work?
This isn't really an is this quote fair question, it's more about the work involved... In the quote it states: Was talking to a few people about this at work & they were saying that injecting this DPC isn't as reliable as you may think - it often fails/simply doesn't work very well. Is this correct or are they talking BS?…

Help me figure out the drains at my house (Pics)
As title, bought a house where the attached garage was extended to the rear and a tiny toilet cubicle installed. The framing and WC has since been removed, leaving some puzzling things... The soil stack seems to be open-vented at the top, with a 'cone' device with slots all around. The WC and wash-basin used to…
