Wren Kitchens new extractor Advice
So I have had a wren kitchen for a couple years now and so far it has been great. Unfortunately the extractor has given up the ghost. I was wondering if there are any wren re-suppliers where I could find a similar if not same extractor that isn’t overly expensive? Thanks in advance.

New boiler flue = new boiler?
Hi all, I've been advised that it is not possible to replace the flue on an old back boiler (Glow Worm approx 11 years). The current flue geometry certainly looks 'odd' and it vents underneath a roof in the garden. So it certainly needs to be replaced. Is it really the case that a completely new boiler is required?

Cellar floor...any advice?
We have a cellar in our house, it's not damp, but obviously with all cellars there is a risk. We didn't get it professionally tanked as we couldn't afford it (£12,000 upwards!!) and it'll be used as a laundry room, not a bedroom. We used tanking slurry on the walls and battened the wall. It's not perfect, should last ten…

Really loose loo seat- wrong size fittings?
I replaced my loo seat recently with a wooden one which I'm happy enough with apart from being unable to get the flippin' thing to be tightly fitted! The fittings on the seat actually snapped off within weeks because we were constantly pushing it back into place. I went and bought a set of replacement fittings which have…

Who to speak to first?
I am in the process of buying a semi-detached house to renovate and remodel. I would like to do a kitchen/diner knock through (possibly a load bearing wall) and if funds allow, add on a small sunroom off the dining room. None of this will impact on the party wall, and I will stick within permitted development rights, hence…

Baxi boiler faults
Hi all, Recently moved into a new home which has a Baxi Combi 105 HE bolier (age unknown, approx 8 years) that appears to be very unhappy! (faults listed below). 2 lever lock-replace with 3 lever lock?
MIL has an internal door with a 2 lever lock which has ceased to function. The lock itself isn't used, it is a cloakroom door with a seperate privacy bolt. Basically the bit the handle turns with the square bar iswill no longer rotate, something has broken internally. 2 lever replacements seem expensive but 3 lever seem…

Hi Guys, I'm moving house soon and need to remove the cat flap next to the front door and replace the panel pictured below. I know it's a plastic panel but what should I search for/ask for when I'm buying one and from where? I guess it will be a custom height x width but will it be a set thickness. I'd ideally like a…

Double glazing company anyone?
Does anyone know of an honest, good quality double glazing company that won't want to send a rep to my house to waste an hour of my time showing me their product, bend my ear about their 'outstanding warranty' and then offer me a series of ever decreasing prices if i 'just sign now'? And I definitely don't need a lesson in…

boiler plate heat exchanger - what does it do?
I've had a quick read up online and as it sounds like its used to exchange heat between 2 liquids I'm guessing its used to heat the hot water. What I'm interested in is how it works - i.e. what circuit is the other liquid on? I'm presuming its not the standard central heating circuit as this is off while demand is present…
