patio canopy/ carport

Hi I have a north facing patio along the back of my house which gets very damp and slipery in the winter.
I'd like a covered area in the garden I can use for DIY etc as I have no garage.
I'm thinking of a cantilever carport type cover or a veranda type
Approx 3sqm.
I cant erect something like this myself so can anyone give me an idea of price etc? There is a gravel area at end of patio that could have supports fixed into or they could be fixed to the patio?
