Ideal Standard Dual flush loo - delayed filling
Hi, I have an IS dual flush toilet. Recently it has been taking a while to fill. When you push the flush it flushes as normal but takes a while before the water is flowing. I have taken the cistern lid off and it looks like the pneumatic valve (I think they are called that - its not a ballcock anyway) isn't sinking and…

Cavity Wall Insulation and prevailing wind
We own a bungalow which we rent out. The tenants are elderly and have asked about getting cavity wall insulation installed. My only worry is that the front of the house is quite exposed to the prevailing westerly wind and I have read that the wrong kind of insulation can cause the rain to bridge the gap in the cavity…

My brother painted my wall, I didn't like a lump on the wall, so I attacked it with a sander just 24 hours after it was applied. Re-sealing a flat concrete outhouse roof
With the bad weather recently I have noticed a leak in the roof of my outhouse. It's a single storey structure attached to the main house with a flat concrete roof sealed with bitumen felt.
