Hi Guys, Bought a new house recently and while decorating one of the room sensors had its cable broken. The panel now reads master reset required and gives me a number. Can I get the master code myself or do I need to contact engineer and pay
I attach a pic if that helps gauge which model etc.. Many thanks in advance..
I think the previous occupant had a maintained contract with G4S.

Have a pic on desktop, lost as to how to upload, it asks for a URL?!? Thanks..0

On the Melcom system I have installed, if the installer changes the "engineers" code it can be permanently burnt to the chip and cannot be defaulted back to the original factory code without returning the board to the supplier.
Not good, locks you into the company or installer who fitted it.
Obviously don't know if this applies in this case.
Identify your system>> http://www.dsc.com/index.php?n=enduser&o=identify
Various links to manuals etc for DCS on this google search

I think that's just the LCD keypad which is linked to one of these panels:
pc1555
pc5010
pc5015
pc5020
so you need to dig a little deeper

Did you enter the full code each time ie
* 8 5010 * 99 * #
Unfortunately, if the alarm was on a service contract I would imagine the code has been changed, the company would be very unlikely to leave it set to the default.
Did you find the actual model number of your alarm? The pic you've shown is just a remote keypad. I think there will be another box somewhere which houses the actual alarm panel.0
