CCTV drain survey by camera prices ?
What is the current price of a cctv drain survey by camera for a house ? How is the system accessed when there is no man hole cover and no access cap on the soil stack, just a few drain grids into clay pipe ? Contributions only from personal or professional experience please.

Confused about building reg requirements for new sash windows
Hi, We recently had our old wooden sash windows replaced with new double glazed wooden sash windows. I'm a bit confused as we have been told by a few people now that if you replace the windows in a house now, the glass and windows themselves need building regulation approval and have to be of a certain standard. Apparantly…

Supply only kitchen
Hi has anyone ever gone down this route? We had a quote for a pretty basic kitchen and then found exactly the same kitchen through a website (paintedwoodenkitchens.co.uk) and got a quote for around £3000 with fitting and over £5000 on a supply only. Any experiences or do's/don'ts? anyone used this site? Many thanks

Rendering top flat in three story building
I am in the process of buying a top floor flat in a three story, three flat building and I will need to repair or replace the render on the rear of the building. Replacing an oven
I am considering purchasing a new oven (Zanussi ZOB580N) which will be an identical replacement for the built-in oven I already have, albeit 17 years more modern. However, the oven I am looking at, and many others it seems are not supplied with any wiring, to try to force people to use an electrician. I am not an…
