Like this bed to match the furniture I have but not sure if the mattress I have which is king size will fit it?
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S09887636
Current mattress is: 203 length x 152cm width
Assuming if we get the 160cm x 200cm this will fit but poss have a slight gap? does say adjustable but not sure and we have to drive miles so dont want to get the wrong one!
So anyone have and hows the mattress?
Thanks x

If you can live with a 4cm gap each side then it shouldn't be a problem. Those beds are always really tight for changing the sheets without banging your knuckles, so a couple of cms either side might be useful.0

The standard measurement of a King size mattress is 150cm wide by 200cm. They do tend to spread a little bit, as your measurements illustrate. I bought a memery foam mattress and find that it moves about so have pillows stuffed along the gap in the bottom and one of those rubber mats underneath that are supposed to stop rugs from slipping, so yes, it can be quite annoying if it doesn't fit!The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

You probably wouldn't notice the small gap each side by the time you have sheets and duvet on top and you could always stuff a thin sheet or blanket down the side.
I think the adjustable bit on the Malm is the height of the slats whereby it goes up or down to accomodate thicker mattresses
Ebay is alwasy a cheap option for Malm stuff as loads usually on there
Finally when you do eventually change your mattress you can get many mattress manufacturers to make on to European King Size so it fits properly. Ikea mattresses are not all that IMO (had a Sultan one I think when we first got our bed but was lumpy and uncomfortable after a couple of years). We aheva 160cm wide pocket sprung with memory foam and its great
Habitat alos do Euro sizes but a lot more expensive than ikea0
