Good morning: Have any MSE members, tradepersons or consumers, used the website www.nomorecowboys.com? Saw a reference to the site on a non-MSE forum and wanted to hear the thoughts of actual users on the services provided. Thanks. Canucklehead

Light keeps tripping the electrics
One of the lights in the kitchen keeps tripping the electrics in the whole flat. This has happened three times recently. When we switch the lights under the cupboards OFF it trips the lighting and electric (RGD?) circuits. I can switch the offending light back on again so it's not the bulb. It's a standard wall mounted…

Recommend a Replacement CH Programmer?
I need to replace the central heating programmer for our gravity-fed system. I only know of the Lifestyle LP241 model. That one allows programming at 10 minute intervals. Can you get replacement programmers to fit on the old backplate that allow finer settings? One that goes up in minutes would be ideal. Hope you can…

Drains blocked, posh toilet paper is to blame!
To cut a long story short, we noticed a strong sewage smell coming from our drains (well there actually shared drains). Luckily we have drains insurance (there is a reason for this but like i said I keep this short) so we got a bloke out to unblock the drain. When he discovered the blockage was nothing more than normal…

Cats and carpets - do they prefer Berbers?! Also office chairs and carpets...
I was told by a man in Carpet Right that cats scratch on Berber (looped) carpets but not on twist pile ones. I am in a dilemma, because I like the look of the (we are talking cheap) Berber carpets better, but don't want to end up with a scraggy, cat-clawed one. He said they tend to scratch just inside doorways... Funnily…
