Good morning: Have any MSE members, tradepersons or consumers, used the website www.nomorecowboys.com? Saw a reference to the site on a non-MSE forum and wanted to hear the thoughts of actual users on the services provided.
Thanks.

Hmmm
I've just sent my details off to them. I will be interested to see how they want to assess me before they recommend me. I don't think I'll follow through with joining though.
I still say that the best way of getting work is by word of mouth. And TBH it's probably one of the best ways of finding a good tradesman for consumers.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -
Thanks for your response...just out of curiosity, how did you hear about the site and have you heard any positive vibes? A CORGI who posts on www.diynot.com is a member and has said that he has had decent business through the site and then personal recommendations to others from those who had found him on nomorecowboys. Unfortunately, not all consumers are able to get a personal recommendation from a source they can trust. My OH, Corgi Guy, doesn't advertise either, mostly word of mouth business...some custom has developed through the www.trustcorgi.com website, www.iphe.org.uk and even a couple from PMs received by us on MSE!
Let us know how you get on if you decide to follow through on it.
