Soil pipe in wrong position for Savoy low level toilet
I am wanting to replace an old yellow low level toilet for a white one. I have discovered that it is not easy as the soil pipe is not in right position for most styles available now (goes into concrete floor on ground level and is 23cm from back wall to middle of the soil pipe). I like the look of the bathstore savoy low…

Leaking shower
About once a year or so I have to renew the mastic around the bottom row of tiles when the grout cracks and the water runs behind the tiles resulting in a leak. I've seen a product called Wet Wall, which is a large sheet of waterproof MDF and is guaranteed for ten years. I'd rather not take the risk of using something that…

Kitchen come conservatory
We are thinking about putting up a conservatory next to the kitchen and then opening it up so it becomes a kitchen/conservatory dinner. Has anyone here done this and what do they think the pros and cons are for this? I have had a conservatory before so I'm aware of the hot/summer cold/winter and the noise of rain but I was…

Issues with 'Sky'
Firstly apologies if I have posted this in the wrong place. ( sorry I think it should be in the consumer vent board?) When I moved house in June, I subscribed to Sky and got their 3 for £26 deal. I suddenly lost viewing back in July and an engineer called out to take a look at the problem. They advised that my lost viewing…

Central Heating
Before we get into winter, I thought i'd exercise the entire central heating system in my new house (14 years old) as I've not really given it a proper go since moving in. I have only used it in 2 rooms, and had to bleed those radiators to get it to work, and when on there's quite a gurgling noise coming from various…

We have recently got a tradesmen to fit a B and Q kitchen and a laminate worktop. Preventing dog opening door handles!!
3 months after moving into a new house our dog has figured out that she can let herself into any room she likes while were out, by standing on back feet and pulling the handles down. Electric shower repair
Dear All, We have an electric shower that, for no particular reason, has ceased to provide us with hot water. We get just bearable warm water. I suspect we may have to call someone in to fix it, but just in case it is a ridiculous little plastic thing that will cost us a pound to buy in B&Q, is anybody able to perhaps shed…
