Insulating the loft
Mornin' all. I called Powergen on Monday to arrange to have my loft insulated on their grant scheme. It should cost around £200 for our 3 bed semi and I was told that it would take 3 weeks (not counting Christams) for someone to call me. I didn't know these things would take so long, presumably the work wouldn't be done…

Right of access - hypothetical legal question
Property B has a vehicular right of access over land owned by property A. Property A wants to build/extend on the land it owns and that the right of access is over and can do this without actually impeding right of access as the extension would not create a bottleneck in the access route. There is still a narrower area of…

Had a quick look but couldn't see any info. Basically, do I take all the food out, maybe stick it in newspaper and in the garage or a cooler box, then let all the ice melt (use bowls with hot water), then stick the food back in? Are there any tips, things not to do, tricks to stop my kitchen flooding!? Thanks in advance.

How to wire in a new electric cooker..?
Help! I'm a newbie here and a novice DIY-er (as is my husband). My oven is dying by inches, and as I can't face more burnt biscuits and undercooked stews at Christmas time I've pushed the boat out and bought a new one. I found the model I wanted online from the Co-Op electricals much cheaper than at Comet and have ordered…
