Water beneath the boiler - help?

My mum has just bought a bungalow and then buzzed off on holiday leaving me in charge of it!
I popped there this evening to get a quote done on a new bathroom and noticed a smallish puddle of water underneath the boiler. The central heating had been set to come on in the morning and late evening but I have switched it off now. I dont think it was there earlier today but cant be sure and we did have a downpour of rain this afternoon.
I know its a shot in the dark but does anyone have any ideas?
The boiler was covered by the gas board prior to her buying the house so plan to give them a call in the morning to get it covered and looked at but I'm beginning to panic now.

I had this & it was just of the washers had split.
The dudes @ Scottish Gas sorted it really quickly

Had something similar. A seal had gone in the flue so the condensate leaked at the join down the boiler over the floor, easy fix but annoying. Could also be a compression joint somewhere that needs tightening.0

No leaks today. :j Did have a bit of a sleepless night tho.
Also found out that lovely old British Gas used to cover the central heating and when we changed over names they also changed over the cover. Plan to wait a few days, pay for the cover and then ring them up.0
