Hi I hope you can help I'd be grateful. I bought a fire from B& Q (i know bad move) I didn't realise that you needed a chairbrick with it-a fibre fire brick at the back. The fire is a cast fire with an inset fire. The chairbrick is 575(H) , 440(w) , 210(D). I can't get the firebrick for two weeks and true moneysaving style…

Vinyl Shower curtain.
I bought one of these last time as I was fed up with the fabric curtain going mouldy. It's been great but I noticed that it was getting brown marks on it which I understand is a build up of soaps etc. I have been taking it down and laying it flat to scrub it, bit of a pain. Today however I put it in the washing machine on…

Tiling advice
I wondered if someone on here could give me some advice? :) We are redecorating our kitchen and have stripped the walls of paper and tiles. We are just going to paint rather than use paper on them. My question is, should we tile before we paint or vice versa? The tiles are just going to 3 tile height to act as a…

Electric Shower
Planning on getting an electric shower fitted and plumber has said to get 10.5 kilowatt shower. New garage
Our garage is letting in water and needs replacing. A local builder said it would cost around £10,000 for a new brick built one. A Compton pre-fab one is around £4,500. Is it worth going for brick (our house is white rendered) and 10k seems excessive? Any advice welcome Thanks
