Burnt hole in kitchen workbench

Does anyone have any idea if it is possible to repair a small hole in the kitchen workbench.
I was doing some chemistry with my son this morning and stupidly not prepared properly and have burnt through the top surface of the work bench 2 small (2mm approx) holes.
The house is rented and I'm about to move out, and can not afford to lose this off my deposit.
Any help greatly appreciated.

There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

what sort of worktop is it. stone, wood, laminate?0

If it is laminate then you can get laminate filler from B&Q, (normally hanging up by the worktop section) It might be difficult to get an exact colour match though.
If all else fails a carefully placed mug or teatowel on inspection day might do the trick, worked for me anyway!0 -
Its laminate a sor tof grey speckle, i've been to B and Q they suggested filler, so picked it up, but haven't used it yet. There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0

Hi
If its only a couple of holes that are 2mm diameter roughly, then use a product called "colourfill". You can get it from B&Q, Wickes etc, comes in several colours (diamond black sounds like it would do yours ok) and costs about £7.99. Cheapest way out but temporary is to get some wood glue and mix it with black or grey paint til the desired shade is achieved and use it like filler. May need a couple of coats but will do the trick temporarily.
Hope that helps
