hi
i intend to buy some oak wooden flooring from b+q, now i know this aint as tough as the cheaper laminate flooring but im wondering if i would get marks on the floor from a pc chair with castors.
I know you get castors suitable for laminate floors, but im thinking with my weight of 14.5 stone on a pc chair would dig into a real wood laminate floor. WOuld i be ok if i use the correct castors or would i risk damage to the floor a sthe chair would get a lot of use, i dont want to put down any mats or anything.

Softwood like pine would mark easy, oak is a hardwood and I’ve seen the floor you mentioned.
Buy a really thick rug and put it under the chair, or you could get some really thick cardboard and put that under the rug to make sure you don’t damage it.
Personally I don’t think it would as oak is a really hard wood anyway; I would buy a pack and test it to see if it did, if it did I would get the rug and the cardboard.I'm not poor i'm just skint0 -
the flooring i like in b & q warehouse at £20 a metre sq, which is great value for wood laminate, i need to buy a chair now and flooring later on, i dont want to use anything beneath the chair to be honest, but thought if i see a chair i would need to know if the castors are suitable for wooden floors, which i doubt not as the are aimed at office enviroment.0

Why not ask the seller. Ask if it's guaranteed against this sort of useage. If they have some laid in the shop ask to borrow a chair and give it a go !0
