So you're a FTB on the verge of exchange...what do you do now?
I'm following the budget with interest today. We're selling to a FTB and we're a few weeks away from exchanging contracts. I'm now worried that the announcement in today's budget may dissuade the buyer from going through with the purchase - or at least provides them with an incentive to slow things down - until the stamp…

The reason I ask is because I bought a flat in 2006 and sold it last year for…

Good afternoon all. I received some electricity bills which were from electric used before we moved into our flat, which I passed on to the landlord. Lease contract
Hi, I would like to buy my first flat and was wondering when in the whole process of viewing, making an offer etc. do I get to see a copy of the lease contract to decide whether the conditions are acceptable? Also, would my estate agents reveal to me if the vendor has had any offers prior to me making an offer? Thanks.

Hi, I am planning to buy my first flat and wonder when in the whole process I can have a look at the lease contract to see if the conditions are acceptable. Also, would my estate agents tell me if the vendor has received any offers to present or is this the sort of information the agents would not disclose? Thanks.

Rent out or Sell??
Hi Opinions please. We are moving out of our current house into another property we have acquired. We have lived in our current house for 21 years. We have taken out a mortgage on the current house to purchase the other property outright. What would be the best way forward now? The house has been valued at £270000. Rental…

live rent free.
ITS possible, simple legal and free! I rented for years, and detested the situation in the UK and the blatent expliotation for renters. Housing stock being a finite resource and housing being a basic human need. Its simple, live in a motorhome. I do. I am not a gypsy. I work 55 hours a week in decent job and have no…

Renting contract renewal fee
Hello Bit of advice. We've been renting a house which was put on the market a couple of months ago. We gave notice and the landlord was quick to ask us to stay. They've now confirmed they're pulling it off the market and agreed with us that we can stay. We agreed with them that we would have a small rent reduction and our…

Can the landlord be liable for a break in?
The flat being rented by a friend of mine was broken into a few days ago. :( They took a number of high value items - laptop, digital camera, ipod, etc. They got in through the kitchen window, which was faulty and wouldn't lock properly. My friend reported the faulty window to her landlord over a month ago asking for it to…
