Responsibilities - letting house
Is there somewhere on site that would tell me exactly for what I would be responsible if I let my house? I have been researching on the internet how one goes about letting - registering with the council, getting an electrician to test electrical appliances, and so on - and have been going round in circles! Many thanks.

Difference between a kitchen breakfast room and kitchen-diner?
Does anyone know what it is, or isn't there one? I wonder if kitchen breakfast rooms are smaller and might just have room for a breakfast bar rather than a table, or is a kitchen-diner only referred to in homes that don't have a separate dining room? I have tried to figure it out the difference from pictures on Rightmove…

Pulling out of a House Sale
Just after a little bit of advice. My partner and I split in March and put our house on the market. We are now both thinking that we may have made a big mistake and are talking about giving things another go. This would be easy if it wasn't for the fact that we found a buyer for our home extremely quickly. Although we are…

Rents set to fall?
Seems quite plausible. People can't sell their (often overpriced) house, so they choose to let it out instead. I'm seeing this not just on MSE, but with colleagues at work too. Two sitting near are having no luck selling and are eager to move - so why not "rent it out" instead. Simple! Maintenance, voids (ie. paying two…
