Wheres all the houses gone?
Has anyone else spotted this? We were expecting a slowdown from Autumn last year of people putting properties on the market. But it seems that there's a lot less going on this year than last. An estate agent told us there's not much to buy out there and there's a higher number of buyers than stuff going on for sale. Is…

We love the area we've sold our house in and are quite sad to have to move away from it. A house about 2 minutes walk away has come up for auction...but can be sold prior to auction. OH saw it and loved it...I haven't seen it yet. We would need to build a 2 storey extension to turn it into what we want. It is currently…

I am about to sell a cottage which I own in a town 100 miles away. It is empty and I have asked a local agent to take on the sale. Any advice about selling from afar? How do I keep tabs on the selling process? Would you use a solicitor in the house's area or my own area?

BTL tax
I read somewhere that tax on a buy to let can be paid through PAYE presumably on an estimate for the year. My question is can I get a deduction through PAYE if for example the interest repayment for a property is £500/month and rent is £450, some people say no others say possibly, does anyone have experience in doing this ?
