how can i speed our chain along... Getting desperate

We sold our house back in January. Our buyers sold their house immediately and they have a cash buyer. So far so good, however the house we are buying - she didn't find a new house to go to until end of Feb. We said we would really like to be in before Easter and I thought this should be possible even though the last one to join the chain was much later than us (the house that they area buying is the end of the chain as the people are moving away into rented)
We had suggested a date next week but now the solicitors of the lady whose house we are buying say that the conveyancing on her purchase just won't be done in time. Is there ANYTHING we can do to speed things along? or are we just at the beck and call of her solicitors. Our solicitors have been onto them and also our estate agents. everyone understands the urgency (the people who are buying our house are going on holiday at Easter so we would then not be able to move until probably May)
Am going batty with the uncertainty of it all - AARGH!

Unfortunately, you can only go as fast as the solicitors (yours and others) will allow you. The only thing I can suggest is you continue to push, and get your solicitor etc to do the same.
Do you know if all the searches etc have been completed?0 -
