Offer Rejected - What Next?
We've made an offer on the house we want to buy which is £3,500 less than the asking price of £90,000. This is based on the fact that even before a surveyors report it was obvious that over half of the hardwood double glazing in the house is blown and is going to need replacing. The offer has been rejected and the estate…

Experiences of Your Move
I've heard a few friends mention Your Move and that they're "quite good" but I wondered if anyone has had experiences with them they'd be willing to post so I can get a better idea as "quite good" isnt really enough info! We're in Hythe, Kent but would be interested in hearing about them in general, not just our area.…

Lenders report suspects asbestos
Just got the valuation report from Abbey which says asbestos is suspected in the internal boiler flue, soffit boards and garage roof of the 1960's property we're buying. Is this something to be concerned about? should we go ahead? Advice welcomed. Thanks!

house letting agent Milton keynes
Has anyone had dealings with any house letting agents in Milton Keynes they can recommend? A family member is looking to rent out a house for a year or so and the letting agents they were talking to appears to have disappeared into thin air, maybe they went bust, but they need to find someone else pronto. Thanks Soo

2-y-o property, valuation enough or survey needed?
I think that probably says it all! We've had an offer accepted on a 2 year old property and the valuation by the mortgage company should be done next week. If you were buying a relatively new property would you get a Homebuyer's Report as well or stick with the valuation? Our IFA has 'off the record' said that the…

Inherited house to rent - Ceiling Problem
I have inherited a house and I want to rent it out. The thing is it has ceilings in some of the bedrooms that have been made of a foam type of material that have been stuck to the original ceiling. Britain is a big place you know
Hi all, please excuse my petulance (I am about to ask advice on another thread, so who am I to comment). Can I suggest that this may be the case in your area, some areas, even most areas but it is…
