Experiences of Your Move

I've heard a few friends mention Your Move and that they're "quite good" but I wondered if anyone has had experiences with them they'd be willing to post so I can get a better idea as "quite good" isnt really enough info!
We're in Hythe, Kent but would be interested in hearing about them in general, not just our area.
Thanks in advance.

I can only give you advice as a potential buyer and I find yourmove pretty poor, as far as online searches go.
They only seem to operate in certain areas and the website is very fiddly.
Having said that, interestingly, yourmove does now advertise on its rival - rightmove, but it seems to take a while for properties to be added to the service.
It all depends on the area. For example in London yourmove seems to operate only in, shall we say, poorer areas, as well as parts of Surrey.0 -
I think it does depend on which area you are in, as in this area properties are marketed online with a virtual tour. This is a great facility for potential buyers in my opinion & it's helped me in the past to not to waste time viewing properties that sound great on the standard estate agents blurb, but in reality are a no-no in one way or another. I think this does give the branches of Your Move that use this method an edge over other estate agents. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Just sold my house near glasgow with yourmove. Basic details appeared on the internet the day after yourmove took my details. Two days later the viewings started, first viewer is now buying house. Your move were 0.6 dearer than another local agent but as some houses around here are not selling, i'm not sure i would of sold as quick with anyone else.
Did take about 8 days for full tour to appear on the net.
Generaly service is ok but nothing special. I would say go with a local agent that advertises on the internet and local paper.0 -
Thanks everyone.
Yogi - think I've decided to go with a local agent who also advertises in London, he's coming this afternoon so will pick his brains a bit!0 -
I am just down the road in Deal and bought my house 4 years ago with your move, absolutely no problems, i have just sold my house through another agent but the house i am buying is once again through your move, they have been very helpful and i can certainly recommend them, if i carry on i buying with them i may get invited to the christmas party !!!
Seriously they get the job done and are no worse than anyone else, although i would also consider putting your house online with one of the free listing websites such as https://www.propertysell.co.uk cos its free.0
